Noddy Welcomes you to 37 Field Squadron R.E. - Oldboys Association
As the name suggests, we are a group of former “Royal Engineers”, or, as we are
more colloquially known, “Sappers” of all ranks. All of whom have, at some
period during their time with the corps, served with 37 Field Squadron R.E., or
its current successor, 37 Armoured Engineer Squadron.
Membership of the association: -
Is open to all former “Sappers”, irrespective of rank, who have previously
served with 37 Field Squadron R.E. or, it’s successor; 37 Armoured Engineer
Squadron. Membership is also open to all those from other arms of H.M. forces
who have previously served with, or been attached to the squadron. Membership is
also open to direct family members of former members of the squadron. Or
civilians who have had a close connection with the squadron.
The purpose of this website is: -
(A): To serve as a touchstone and a meeting place, where former members of 37
Field Squadron R.E. now re-titled, (37 Armoured Engineer Squadron), and/or their
family representatives, can re-establish or maintain contact with their former
comrades and friends from the squadron.
(B): To provide a forum where member’s experiences gained whilst serving with
the squadron, and other relevant information can be discussed and shared with
other association members.
(C): To provide a safe depository for photographic and documentary material of
the squadron’s past activities and personalities. This for the future use as
historical reference material, by association members and the squadron.
(D): To establish and maintain continuous and ongoing links between the squadron
and members of the association.
